  • Understand how using a coaching style facilitates increased performance.
  • Define what coaching is and what it isn’t.
  • Demonstrate the process of coaching.
  • Demonstrate the key skills of coaching (listening, questioning, goal setting and feedback).
  • Identify areas where using a coaching style would be most beneficial in their work.
  • Explain how personal styles and beliefs can affect behaviour.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Coaching Skills for Managers is a programme comprising a two-day workshop plus additional coaching support.  Each delegate has a one-to-one telephone coaching session prior to the workshop to experience coaching and to identify workshop goals.  Delegates are also required to read The Coaching Manual by Julie Starr prior to attending the workshop.  The workshop equips managers to develop a coaching style to bring out the best in their staff and achieve organisational goals more quickly and effectively. Delegates then have a monthly one-to-one telephone coaching session for three months after the workshop, to support them in embedding the coaching culture in to the workplace, plus unlimited email support.
